No-Reserve Used Bus Auctions Closing 11 September

11 no-reserve used bus auctions on Fleequid: Mercedes-Benz Citaro, Setra S412/S415 and Solaris Urbino, all inspected. Bidding closes Friday, 11 September 2026.

This week on Fleequid, 11 auctions have gone live with a feature that sets them apart from most listings on the European used bus market: every single one is no-reserve. The selection covers both urban and interurban transport, from Mercedes-Benz Citaro singles and articulateds to two Setra S412s, a Setra S415 and a Solaris Urbino. Every auction opens at 1 € and is awarded to the highest bidder at closing, unconditionally.

No-reserve bus auctions are genuinely rare in Europe. In the vast majority of used bus auctions, there is a minimum price the bids must reach before a sale becomes binding. Here, the market sets the price. Whoever bids highest when the timer runs out wins the vehicle, full stop. If this is your first time participating in an auction of this type, the next section walks you through everything you need to know.

How Fleequid no-reserve bus auctions work

The mechanics are straightforward. Bids start at 1 €. There is no reserve price, no hidden floor, no condition that must be met for the sale to be binding. When the auction closes, the highest bid takes the vehicle, regardless of where the number lands.

A few things worth keeping in mind: the final price can land anywhere. On a high-demand vehicle, competition between bidders will push the value up. On a niche unit with limited interest, the outcome may differ. Either way, Fleequid guarantees full transparency: every bidder on the platform is a verified professional company.

Every vehicle in auction comes with its TrustReport, an inspection report prepared by our experts directly at the seller's location. Using a standardised procedure, it covers more than 150 inspection points and includes over 80 photos and videos, giving you a structured assessment of the vehicle's condition. Read it carefully before placing any bid: it effectively replaces a physical pre-inspection visit.

Here is a look at the vehicles up for auction this week.

We start with two articulated Citaro Gs, both registered in Germany.

The Mercedes-Benz Citaro G (2008) has 827,021 km on the clock, Euro4 homologation and 44 seats. Articulated buses at this mileage have typically operated on high-frequency urban lines, which makes this a very credible figure for the type of service it has seen.

The Mercedes-Benz Citaro G (2009) shows 906,914 km, Euro4 and 48 seats. The higher seating capacity compared to the 2008 model makes it a natural fit for operators running main urban or suburban routes where standing passenger density matters.

Next up: five standard-length Citaros, again German-registered, all configured for 40 seats.

The Mercedes-Benz Citaro (2010) is the newest of the group. At 731,715 km it also carries the lowest mileage of the five. For operators who need an urban bus with a more up-to-date emissions standard, this one is the obvious pick.

The group is completed by four Euro4 Citaros from 2007, each at a different mileage, all with genuinely competitive figures. Their auctions close in sequence, 15 minutes apart, so you can follow all of them without awkward overlaps.

Here are the links to each of these four Mercedes-Benz Citaro auctions: Mercedes-Benz Citaro 777,749 km, Mercedes-Benz Citaro 807,642 km, Mercedes-Benz Citaro 838,639 km, Mercedes-Benz Citaro 846,242 km.

Then come three Setra coaches, also registered in Germany.

First in this group is a Setra S412 (2009) with just 590,279 km. Then a Setra S412, also 2009, with 637,494 km. Both seat 43 and are built for interurban and touring services. The S412 is a touring-category coach, and at these mileages it still has plenty of operational life ahead. Euro5 compliance is a concrete advantage, keeping these vehicles viable across a range of operating contexts.

Rounding out the trio is a Setra S415 (2011), 890,298 km, Euro5, with 36 seats. This one sits at the higher end of the quality spectrum, and its reduced seating count points to a comfort-oriented configuration.

Closing out the no-reserve auctions is a Solaris Urbino (2009). It has 43 seats, diesel power, Euro5 homologation and 973,033 km. The Solaris Urbino is a reference platform for European urban transport, with a long operational track record on city networks across the continent.

What to check before placing a bid

If you win an auction, you will need to arrange collection and transport from Germany: factor this into your total cost before you bid. Fleequid makes this easy by giving you access to transport pricing estimates directly on each vehicle's detail page.

Beyond transport, Fleequid also offers a range of additional services including registration, homologation assistance and temporary licence plates.

All bidders on Fleequid are verified professional companies. Every bid is backed by a deposit, an amount that is simply authorised on your chosen payment method to confirm the bid. It is never charged unless you win, and it is released automatically if you are outbid.

All 11 auctions close on 11 September 2026. The first closes at 14:30 and the last at 17:00 (Italian time). To place a bid you need a Fleequid account. If you are not yet registered, signing up takes just a few clicks and is completely free.
